MX5 Valve motor switch right hardtop

This switch is located on the right motor of the hardtop closure flap on the Mazda MX5 NC. The switch senses the position of the valve and relays it to the roof mechanism controller.

If the switch is faulty or worn, the valve cannot open or close correctly. This can cause the roof to stop while opening or closing, or not respond at all.

Because this switch is part of the locking and closing process of the hardtop, a properly functioning sensor is essential to the proper operation of the entire system.

This part is often replaced when the valve is still functioning properly mechanically, but the control is malfunctioning.
