Privacy and Cookie Statement of MX-5 Centre
We, as MX-5 Centre, are aware that appropriate processing of personal data is an indispensable aspect of privacy law. To guarantee this right, you can review the statement to find out what happens to your data. Our actions are of course in accordance with the current Personal Data Protection Act and also with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1 - Objective of data processing on general grounds
Your personal data is processed by us for the order you place with us - order for work on your car - optimising our website. This is so we can contact you and send the order. In short, to maintain contact with you.
The RDW has asked us to print out the consumer data of passenger cars and commercial vehicles up to 3500kg with a date of first admission from January 1, 2021 and send it to the RDW. This way it can be checked whether this corresponds with what was registered during the type approval. Please be aware that you may refuse this. The MOT inspector will then fill in the refusal when signing off the MOT.
2 - Marketing activities
As part of our marketing activities, we keep track of general visitor data of website visitors. In this context, in particular the IP address (last octet we have had masked) of your computer and the time of your visit can be registered. This data is used for statistical analysis of visit and click behaviour on our website, Google Analytics. The data will be anonymised.
We have also entered into a processing agreement with Google. And we have turned off “data sharing” and do not use other Google services in combination with Google Analytics.
In addition, the data will be used to send you a newsletter if you are interested. You can specify this yourself.
3 - Security level
MX-5 Centre protects the data entrusted to it using technical and administrative security measures to minimise the risk of loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure and alteration. This can include firewalls, data encryption and physical and administrative access controls to the data and servers. If you think data has been misused, please contact us. 4 - Data collection
We collect the following personal data. Name - Address - Postcode and City - Mail address and phone number. We collect this data from you so that we can ship your order and contact you if necessary. We also collect this data when you give us your car for servicing.
For the operation of our webshop and services, we use external service providers such as an e-commerce platform, hosting provider, shipping software and accounting software. These parties process personal data exclusively on our behalf and on the basis of data processing agreements.
We process personal data on the basis of the following legal grounds: performance of a contract, legal obligations and legitimate interests.
5 - Rights of data subjects
If you have a relationship with us and would like to see your data, you can access your personal data after submitting a written request via an e-mail (please see contact details). If the overview provided by us contains factual inaccuracies, you can ask us in writing to change the data or have it removed. We are required to keep records of invoices for seven years for tax purposes.
In addition, if you do not want to be contacted with information about our products, you can inform us in writing.
