MX5 BBR Super 220 2.0l - 184hp

The Super 220-package from BBR is the move for anyone who wants just that little bit extra out of their Mazda MX5 ND 2.0l (2019 - present). BBR has spent months testing on the test bench, on the road and on the track with the 184 hp Skyactiv-G engine. The result is an upgrade that we can only get excited about: a torquey, lively and perfectly street-friendly MX5.

What does the Super 220 do?

The Super 220 gives the 184-hp Skyactiv-G engine exactly what it needs: more breathing room, more agility and, above all, more experience. Torque already climbs above 203 Nm from 3,000 rpm and remains impressively strong well into the rev range, with more than 217 Nm between 3,500 and 7,500 rpm. Peak power grows through to 221 hp at 7800 rpm, a gain of 36 hp over standard, and you feel it immediately. Moreover, peak torque comes about 500 rpm earlier than on the original engine, making the car more lively and alert to the throttle.
