Stone chips and minor paint damage on an MX-5 NBFL (2001–2005) mainly occur on the front end, but can also appear on other parts of the body and sheet metal. If the paint is damaged down to the metal, touch up the area promptly with a touch-up pen. This reduces the risk of moisture getting under the paint and rust starting to form.
