MX5 BBR Super 200 2.0l

The Super 200 package of BBR for your Mazda MX 5 NC (2006-2015) with a 2.0l engine. 

 

This package is specially developed to offer a lot of value for relatively little money. The upgrade provides better throttle response, more power, better handling and more fun. BBR succeeded in realising a power increase, which was previously impossible with conventional atmospheric tuning. The power will increase by 43 bhp and the torque by 26 Nm. This will be noticeable at any speed. The package is fully developed for daily use. This is the first tuning package that allows the engine power of the MX 5 NC to really exceed 200 bhp, without a turbo or supercharger.

 

The power increase of the BBR Super 200 package has been demonstrated with the dyno test bench. The peak power will increase by 43 bhp to 201 bhp at 7450 rpm. However, this only tells half the story. The improved distribution of power is equally important. The careful development of BBR has led to exclusive camshaft profiles, with unique valve control specifications. The camshaft profiles combined with the supplied exhaust manifold and ECU chip provide a package, that already delivers strong power gains above 3000 rpm. The standard power is increased at any speed and this keeps the output of the power very stable. This ensures high user-friendliness.

 

BBR has placed great emphasis on increasing torque, ensuring superior handling and throttle response to the standard MX 5 NC. The torque of a 2.0 MX 5 NC will increase by 26 Nm to 225 Nm, at merely 4000 rpm. that is approximately 1100 rpm lower than a standard two litre engine.

 

When developing the package, the costs and comfort at high speeds were naturally also taken into account. Therefore, this package uses the standard catalytic converter and exhaust system. Because the looks are obviously important, BBR exhaust trim pieces are included. The trim pieces are adjustable to fit into the bumpers of all NCs. BBR stickers are also included.

 

Careful development of BBR has ensured that emissions of the package remain fully within the European rules, both when using Euro 98 and Euro 95 petrol. All standard safety systems remain fully functional in converted cars.

 

The bhps, the torque and the improved throttle response make for a much faster car. On the road you will feel that the MX 5 is faster, more eager and more powerful. This will ensure that you have much more fun, in all circumstances.
