A door on the Mazda MX-5 NC (2005–2015) combines the door panel with components for the latch, window guide, and exterior trim. When the window control is used, the guides keep the window on track as it moves. The window seal fits along the bottom edge of the glass, while the door lock and the rubber door guide hold the closed door in place.
