Track extenders are placed between the wheel hub and the rim of a Mazda MX5 NA (1989 - 1997) to increase the car's track width. This puts the wheels slightly further out, which can affect stability and wheel fit. Various reinforcements are also used around the suspension, such as braces that make the car's suspension stiffer.
