The power windows of a Mazda MX5 NA (1989 - 1997) are operated by switches in the interior of the car. Inside the door is a mechanism with cables and guides that moves the window up and down. When the switch is actuated, it sends current to the mechanism's electric motor, causing the system to cooperate with the car's doors and window guides.
