Catalytic converter

The catalytic converter of a Mazda MX5 NA (1989–1997) is located in the exhaust system and ensures that harmful substances in the exhaust gases are converted into less harmful components. This process takes place after the gases have left the engine and are flowing towards the exhaust. The operation of the catalytic converter depends on the combustion and control of the fuel-air mixture in the car’s engine, which determines which gases are supplied.
