The cylinder head of a Mazda MX5 NA (1989 - 1997) sits on top of the engine block and forms the sealing part of the combustion chambers. Here there are valves, ducts and combustion chamber where air and fuel come together. The operation of the cylinder head is directly dependent on the camshaft and valve actuation in the engine, which determine when the valves open and close.
