Spark plug wires connect the ignition system to the spark plugs of a Mazda MX-5 NA (1989–1997) and ensure that electrical current is transmitted to each cylinder. These wires run over the engine block and are a visible part of the ignition system. They are mounted around the upper part of the engine where the spark plugs are located.
