The radiator of a Mazda MX5 NA (1989 - 1997) sits at the front of the car and cools the coolant flowing through the engine block. Driving wind and ventilation dissipate heat so the fluid can return to the engine. The flow is controlled by the thermostat that controls the flow of coolant into the engine depending on the temperature.
