Track widening

Between wheel hub and rim, track widening on an MX5 NB (1998 - 2000) creates a wider track width, moving the wheel position further out. This not only changes the look, but also affects how forces are distributed to bearings, suspension components and steering. Especially with changes to offset or track width, a neat fit to the wheel hub is important to prevent vibration or imbalance. When the hub and surrounding axle parts are also in order, forces are absorbed and distributed evenly.
