Air Filter

The air filter for the MX5 NB (1998–2000) is located in the air filter housing at the front of the engine compartment. This is where incoming air is filtered before it reaches the engine. On cars with high mileage, you’ll often see dust, leaves, and debris accumulating in the filter element. A restricted airflow can become noticeable during acceleration, while contamination around the air intake to the engine also affects the performance of the entire intake system.
