In the front of an MX5 NB (1998–2000), the air conditioning works in conjunction with the ventilation and heating systems to maintain a comfortable cabin climate. Behind the bumper, the condenser and hoses are located close to the air deflector, which helps direct airflow through the radiator and condenser, meaning that good air circulation directly affects the system’s performance.
