Running through an MX5 NB (1998 - 2000) are dozens of meters of wiring connecting all the electrical systems. From lights and sensors to windows, audio and engine controls, signals and power are routed throughout the car via wiring harnesses and plugs. Where moisture, vibration and age come together, faults often arise precisely in connections, contact points or damaged wiring. A bad contact can cause a variety of complaints that don't always point directly to the cause. When sensors and electronic control components within the system also function correctly, communication between all components remains reliable.
