Front license plate

On the nose of an MX5 NB (1998 - 2000), the license plate is one of the first parts that stands out. Proper mounting prevents the plate from vibrating, skewing or causing stress on surrounding parts of the bumper. It is not just about mounting, but also about how the license plate fits into the lines of the front. Between the plate and the visible parts of the front bumper, ideally enough space should remain to prevent damage to paint and plastic. Especially in a compact roadster, these kinds of details often make more of a difference than you might expect at first glance.
