The fuel tank is located in the rear of an MX5 NB (1998–2000), where the fuel is safely stored before being fed to the engine. While driving, the fuel constantly shifts with braking, acceleration, and cornering, while the system must simultaneously ensure a constant supply. Surrounding the tank are lines, vent components, and connections that together ensure a stable fuel supply. Because the tank is positioned low in the body, it is also close to the underbody structural components that are exposed daily to moisture, dirt, and road debris, making protection and maintaining the surrounding area in good condition essential.
