When working on the brakes of an MX5 NB (1998–2000), springs, clips, and other fasteners are also important for proper installation and operation. Wheel bearings and wheel hubs form the connection to which the brake rotor and wheel are mounted. Therefore, any play or damage should also be checked during brake work. Properly installed brake components help prevent noise and uneven wear.
