Audio System

The audio system of an MX5 NB (1998–2000) consists of more than just a radio and a pair of speakers. Behind the scenes, wiring, connections, the antenna, amplification, and controls all work together to deliver clear, interference-free sound. In a roadster in particular, an audio system faces additional challenges due to wind noise, vibrations, and changing weather conditions. In older cars, malfunctions are often caused by wear and tear in connectors, wiring, or contact points. When the radio-, reception, and the system’s antenna setup are all functioning properly, sound quality remains as stable as possible.
