In an MX5 NB (1998 - 2000), it is often the smaller interior components that determine how cared for the MX-5's interior feels. Think of trim panels, covers, mounting parts and other components that are not immediately noticeable, but contribute to a sleek whole without rattles or loose parts. Wear or breakage sometimes occurs around attachment points after years of use, especially in areas that are subjected to a lot of stress during ingress and egress. Many of these parts also connect directly to the center console and surrounding control panels, so a neat fit is immediately apparent as soon as you take your seat behind the wheel.
